How strong is the magnet?

The MagDock uses the same N52 industrial-grade magnets that lock the HydraCore Carry to gym equipment. Holds up to 5lb of pull weight. Every modern phone (with or without case) is well under that limit, even iPhone Pro Max in a thick case.

Does it work with my phone case?

Yes. If your case is MagSafe-compatible, it locks natively. If not, the included steel adapter ring sticks to the back of your case (or directly to your phone) and locks the same way. Works with thick cases up to 4mm.

Does it work without MagSafe?

Yes. The adapter ring ships in every order. Apply once, lock forever. Compatible with iPhone (any model), Samsung, Pixel, OnePlus, and basically anything with a flat back.

Will it scratch the gym equipment?

No. The magnetic face is backed with scratch-proof silicone. It locks through paint and powder coat without leaving marks, scuffs, or residue.

What surfaces does it stick to?

Any ferrous (steel) surface. Squat racks, cable machines, treadmill frames, dumbbell racks, lockers, even the metal panels on most cardio equipment. It won't stick to aluminum, rubber, plastic, or wood.

What if my gym has rubber-coated equipment?
